Fun and Companionship at Our Hatfield Care Home

Situated on St Albans Road East on the outskirts of Hatfield, Acacia Mews Care Home is a high-quality residential and dementia care home that can be easily reached from the M25. It is well-respected throughout Hertfordshire. There are three floors with 65 good size bedrooms, all with flat-screen TVs and walk-in, en-suite showers. The top floor has suites that are equipped with kitchenettes, suitable for couples who like a little more independence.

Our Hatfield care home is welcoming, comfortable and companionable, and we work hard to settle in all our residents as quickly as possible. Family members are encouraged to visit as often as they like and join in with all the activities. We have regular consultation meetings with residents and families about the direction that home life should take.

Our lounges are sociable places where our care home in Hatfield really comes to life. Residents can take part in organised activities, play a board game, enjoy an aperitif, or simply chat over a cup of coffee and a slice of the chef’s freshly baked cake. At the same time there are quiet rooms where residents can enjoy the calmer atmosphere with a book or newspaper.

To see what we get up to in our Hatfield care home, you might want to view our dedicated Facebook page which is kept updated with all the activities and goings on at Acacia Mews. Alternatively, you can call our friendly manager, on 01707 925 082.

What Our Community Have To Say

>

My Nan has been at Acacia Mews Care Home for 5 months and I cannot believe the change in her. It’s like she has a new lease of life. The best decision my family made was to choose this home for my Nan.

When my father asked me what are you writing, I told him – a review of the care you receive here. He said “I hope you tell them it’s first class!” Well – it certainly is – without a doubt.

Enjoy Luxury at Our Residential Care Home in Hatfield

At Acacia Mews Care Home in Hatfield, we know how important an active lifestyle is for the well-being of our residents – both physically and mentally. We have a dedicated team of Activity Co-ordinators devoted to planning a lively and unique activities schedule, such as:

  • Origami
  • Getting messy with clay
  • Playing roulette – don’t worry, it’s only plastic money!
  • Planting in the garden
  • Hatching out chicks — we’re not hens, we have an incubator!

We really love our enclosed courtyard. It’s a charming spot to take a break in the fresh air with a cup of tea and a book, or to get those green fingers dirty by working in the raised beds.

We are well connected to the local Hatfield and St Albans communities. Groups, schools and societies are often invited to visit and there are regular trips out to local sites of heritage interest, as well as shopping trips to the nearby Hatfield town centre and visits to cafés, churches in St Albans, garden centres and pubs for lunch.

Family and friends can keep in touch with what is going on in the home through our Facebook page, which shows the day’s events and tells you what is coming up at our Hatfield care home.
