Escorted walks on the blue flag beach happen daily, and the minibus runs out to Boscombe and Christchurch. A newly refurbished dementia floor opened in September 2026.     Located in the peaceful suburbs of Bournemouth and just 250 metres from the seafront, we’re blessed with some truly wonderful views. Our care home in Southbourne provides a luxurious space where elderly residents can continue enjoying life and strike up new friendships, all while receiving the high-quality care they need.

    We have 87 luxury bedrooms, with 70 single rooms, and 17 shared rooms – which allow couples who need support to stay together. Each room features a variety of modern en-suite facilities. And our residents are more than welcome to bring their own furnishings to make their space a true home-from-home. We offer a shared care experience with our companion suites, designed for couples, siblings, or friends seeking a caring and supportive environment together.

    Never a Dull Moment at Our Southbourne Care Home

    Our daily programme of activities ensures there’s always plenty of opportunity to keep the mind and body stimulated. We encourage the residents at our Southbourne residential home to get involved with the activities that match their hobbies and interests.

    It means that no two days are ever the same. One day you might find our dedicated activities room hosting a flower arranging session, while on another you’ll see our residents engaged in a competitive yet friendly game of Scrabble on our big board.

    We also have a minibus, which enables us to get out and about in Bournemouth, Boscombe and Christchurch. And we love to take advantage of the seafront views – with daily escorted walks on the blue flag beach.

    The local area boasts excellent transport links to the wider Dorset area, as well as London. This makes it much easier for family and friends to come and visit loved ones, and residents to get out and about when they want to make their own plans.

    General Manager

    I’ve been in the care sector for over 12 years and joined Southbourne Beach Care Home in 2023. I started as a Care Assistant, but my passion for high-quality care began through caring for my own family and has continued to grow. I am lucky to be surrounded by dedicated, compassionate colleagues. With ongoing training, I’ve progressed into management roles.

    I have lived in Dorset for most of my life and feel closely connected to our local community. Leading the team at Southbourne Beach Care Home is a privilege, and I’m proud that we always put the needs of our residents first. In my free time, I enjoy staying active, travelling, and discovering new experiences.
