Rivermere Care Home Turn Things Around Under New Management
“There is not one of the staff that is not kind. There’s no fault in this place at all. It’s a beautiful place.”
This is just one glowing comment of many in our most recent Care Quality Commission report for Rivermere Care Home, where we have been rated as Good following an unannounced inspection.
Our new regulator rating shows our magnificent turnaround within twelve months, from a service that had been rated Inadequate on several occasions, to one that has been transformed in both its care delivery and services. Following our comprehensive refurbishment under new operator Avery Healthcare, we are all very proud to have achieved this result!
Here are some more highlights:
One resident told CQC that “I like it here. I wouldn’t like to be anywhere else. Avery is doing a brilliant job.” Other resident comments included, “The support and care is second to none” and “[The staff] are kind, efficient and caring”. Visiting relatives agreed, saying “The standard of care here is fantastic”, and “The staff here are sweet and nice.”
Another resident said, “I think it’s well managed. There is more communication opportunity for residents since Avery took over.”
A staff member said, “I do love working here. I feel it has got a lot better over the past year.”
Our manager, Rachael Adams, was thrilled with the result and couldn’t wait to celebrate! She said, “We’ve all made a huge difference within the last year. From previous ratings of Inadequate to Requires Improvement to now being CQC regulated as Good. The staff have all worked incredibly hard to turn around the service within such a short space of time, demonstrating their passion and commitment to improving the quality of care and well-being for our residents.”
