Horse Fair Care Home in Rugeley is a well-established community of elderly residents from across Staffordshire. We offer residential care and respite care for those seeking support, as well as a dedicated suite in which we offer the highest quality dementia care in Rugeley. Couples and companions are warmly welcomed in our home where their well-being, comfort, and happiness are our top priority.
Our location in the centre of the town means that local amenities are close by and our connection with local volunteer groups assures a respected place within the Rugeley community.
We make a point of celebrating the lives of our residents who all have a stake in the direction of life within our care home. Families and friends are encouraged to give us their views too and, more formally, can join one of our committees. It is by concentrating on the residents in a holistic way that we get the best out of them and offer the best residential, dementia and respite care in Rugeley.
We are minds as well as bodies, and to that end we have an energetic recreation and leisure team who devise a wide programme of activities and social engagements for residents and families.
Bedrooms are of generous proportions, come with en-suite, walk-in showers and flat-screen TVs. Our housekeepers keep the rooms in beautiful order and will always make sure that any personal ornaments and keepsakes are carefully dusted!
Our Butterfly Café is just one of the spots where residents enjoy the companionship of others over a cup of tea. There are a good variety of lounges to choose from too, some where clubs and societies meet, and others where you can just be quiet and enjoy a daily newspaper or magazine.
To see what we get up to at Horse Fair head over to our dedicated Facebook page. Here we share updates on all the activities and goings on in our Rugeley care home. You are also welcome to call our friendly care team if you have any questions or would like to arrange to come in and get to know us.
Our full-time Activity Coordinators ensure that residents can enjoy their days to the full. We are lucky in that we have a grand piano, and there is nothing we like better than having a good old singsong.
Want to know what else we get up to at Horse Fair Care Home in Rugeley?
Residents are free to come and go as they please and the town centre is only a few minutes’ walk away from our Rugeley care home. But we also love organising trips out in the minibus, taking our residents on excursions further afield across Staffordshire.
In the warmer months, residents make great use of the outside patio area, which is completely enclosed for privacy, a perfect place for outdoor exercise, or just a nice cup of tea. This area includes a brand-new sensory garden, designed to provide a variety of sensory stimuli with its aromatic plants.
Popular among our activities are the reminiscence sessions in which residents look back over the years and discuss major historical events both on a local and international scale. They very much enjoy remembering where they were at key times, and we often find friendships forming and strengthening over shared memories during these sessions. This is very popular with our residents who live with dementia, and it’s just one of the reasons we believe we offer some of the best dementia care in Rugeley.
We know how important it is for our residents to keep in touch with family and friends, that’s why we provide free Wi-Fi throughout the home. Computers are available for Skype, email, or just browsing. Don’t forget to visit our Facebook pages!
