Horse Fair Care Home in Rugeley is a well-established community of elderly residents from across Staffordshire. We offer residential care and respite care for those seeking support, as well as a dedicated suite in which we offer the highest quality dementia care in Rugeley. Couples and companions are warmly welcomed in our home where their well-being, comfort, and happiness are our top priority.
Our location in the centre of the town means that local amenities are close by and our connection with local volunteer groups assures a respected place within the Rugeley community.
We make a point of celebrating the lives of our residents who all have a stake in the direction of life within our care home. Families and friends are encouraged to give us their views too and, more formally, can join one of our committees. It is by concentrating on the residents in a holistic way that we get the best out of them and offer the best residential, dementia and respite care in Rugeley.
Our full-time Activity Coordinators ensure that residents can enjoy their days to the full. We are lucky in that we have a grand piano, and there is nothing we like better than having a good old singsong.

Enriching lives, empowering staff – this is the ethos I bring to Horse Fair, where excellent care and strong leadership go hand in hand to create a home where people thrive.
I am passionate about creating a home where every resident feels safe, valued, and part of a supportive community. With over 10 years’ experience in health and social care—including residential, nursing, and community settings—I bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication to my role.
My background includes roles as Deputy Manager, Team Leader, Unit Manager, and Learning & Development Trainer, giving me both hands-on care experience and strong leadership skills. At Horse Fair Care Home, I work closely with residents, families, and staff to ensure compassionate, tailored support for every individual.
With over 20 years of experience in the care sector, I have a strong understanding of both direct care and leadership. My career began in hands-on roles before progressing into leadership positions that strengthened my skills in service planning, coordination, and quality assurance. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care and a Level 3 in Business and Administration.
I joined Horse Fair Care Home in 2024, conducting pre-assessments and supporting residents and families with compassion as their loved ones transition into our care. I also work closely with the local community, leading engagement initiatives and events to build meaningful connections that enrich life within the home.
I believe in creating a supportive environment where every resident feels valued, every family feels reassured, and our community feels welcomed and involved.
