I’m from Slovakia with Hungarian roots and moved to England in 2002. I’ve worked in the care sector since 2005, starting as a Care Worker and becoming a Registered Manager in 2011. My background includes studies in economics, management, marketing, and accountancy. Although I didn’t initially plan on a career in care, my mother’s work as an Intensive Care Nurse and Day Centre Manager inspired me to help others. Visiting her day centre as a child showed me the joy and fulfillment that comes from supporting people in maintaining a high quality of life.
I’ve worked for various care organisations, including private, social services, and not-for-profit homes, and I’ve managed two domiciliary agencies. I hold Level 5 in Health and Social Care, as well as qualifications in Dementia Leadership, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Nutrition and Health, and Emergency First Aid.
I was born in Sunderland, but my family moved to South Africa when I was young. I always remembered my roots and knew I’d return one day.
After school, I trained as a General Nurse, primarily in elderly wards, before moving to paediatrics and then specialising in critical care. In 1990, I specialised in medical and surgical critical care, focusing on cardio-thoracic nursing, and progressed to Deputy Nursing Manager at a 240-bed private hospital.
I returned to England in August 2018 and obtained my NMC PIN as a Pre-Registered Nurse, completing the necessary English test and nursing test. I was fortunate to work in adult social care, where I received great support from my colleagues. I gained my PIN in November 2018 and quickly advanced to Clinical Deputy Manager at Clevedon Manor Care Home.
I joined Avery Healthcare in 2020, initially working at Ascot Grange Care Home and transferring to Cliveden Manor Care Home in August 2023.
I’m committed to ensuring our residents are at the heart of everything we do, treating them with care, dignity, and respect. I joined Cliveden Manor Care Home in March 2024.
I have a background in sales, helping people navigate the property market. While researching care options for my mother-in-law, I realised very qucikly that I wanted to be a Customer Liaison Manager.
I enjoy supporting families in finding care or making lifestyle changes, and it’s rewarding to connect with residents in such a lovely environment with our dedicated staff.
