Let’s start with dining, it’s an often talked about and important part of the team for all of us and residents have a real treat every day at Bagshot Gardens Care Home thanks to the skills of the home’s chefs and kitchen team. Every day they cook up delights that concentrate on taste and textures, often including residents in the menu decisions. No two days are the same, and the dining experience always has a nice social buzz. Each resident’s suite also has a kitchenette, so if there is ever a time when you feel that just a sandwich in your own personal surroundings is the order of the day, then that is fine too.
Once food is taken care of there is always plenty of energy for an afternoon of activities ranging from playing cards, to walking, gardening and sky-diving….if you so desire! The Well-being and Activities teams have a full calendar to meet everyone’s tastes and we support individuals to make their own choices and fulfil their aspirations. The giant Scrabble board is a huge hit with our residents, who often bring out their competitive side to become the weekly ‘Scrabble champion’. Daily activities also include gentle exercise classes. You won’t be the only one joining in, as our resident cat Bruno is a frequent attendee who comes along for a stretch!
