Work is complete on the construction of a 40 bed extension which will provide a range of specialist services and complement the existing care home.
Planned is the addition of new spacious bedrooms with en-suite wc. and showers and upgrade the existing laundry and kitchen facilities to modern facilities. The extension is planned to open week commencing 14th July 2008.
Heckmondwike, Kirklees, West Yorkshire
Heckmondwike – this is a new development close to the centre of Heckmondwike in Kirklees and will provide 45 high quality beds on two floors. The location is the site of the now demolished Station Hotel and is adjacent to an attractive development of new houses. Due to open in September 2008 the home will offer personal care in large spacious single rooms with en-suite shower facilities and will also provide specialist services for older people with special needs and dementia.
Avery is planning the development of a 65 place care home on Beacon Lane on the site of a well known residence called The White House. Planning was granted on 9 January 2008 and construction is expected to commence in early/mid February.
