About Dukes Court

Thank you to the 500 or so people who attended our open day on 31st January 2015. We were delighted to see so many local people showing an interest in our new Wellingborough care home.

Wellingborough's Newest Care Home, Dukes Court.

Dukes Court Care Home in Wellinborough is Avery Healthcare's latest care home in a fast expanding portfolio of Northamptonshire based residential care homes. Based out of Northampton's Swan Valley Business Park, Avery have homes throughout the UK and were selected as a finalist in the national Residential Care Home Company of the Year Award 2014.

As a care home operator, our reputation both nationally and throughout Northamptonshire is well established. Dukes Court maintains these high standards with well designed interior and exterior spaces, combining our experience of developing thriving residential care communities that are firmly embedded within their local community's with the excellence of our care and support.

Dukes Court Care Home is on a prominent site overlooking the A5128 Northampton Road, on the outskirts of Wellingborough just 5 minutes walk from the Sainsbury's Superstore and no more than 18 minutes drive from the towns of Northampton and Kettering respectively. Duke's Court offers residential, dementia and respite care and companionship, with freshly cooked meals and a host of daily recreational activities to keep all our residents stimulated and in the best possible physical and mental health.

Live Life to the Full At Duke's Court Care Home

Each of our residents brings something unique to home life, and we encourage residents to bring with them their own personal interests or hobbies. Home life is richer for it. We appreciate that settling in is sometimes a challenge and we work hard to ensure that everyone is settled and we encourage everyone to embrace the life of the home. We support residents in setting up their own clubs or societies, whether its watching football at a local pub for Sunday lunch or something more gentile such as gardening or perhaps an art and craft workshop.

Activities are varied and happening each and every day of the week. We even run a Facebook just so family and friends can see what we are up to. Families have urged us to embrace better social communication platforms as so many of them want to contribute to care home life or at least feel part of it. To this end we have Wi-Fi freely available throughout the home. We also have residents and family committees that help us steer home life.

Locally Sourced, Fresh Food Enjoyed by All

Food and dining is such a critical part of life at Duke's Court Care Home. Our chef and his team like to challenge our taste buds with exotic food themes to compliment our more traditional fare and we think that our dining experience matches that of any good restaurant. At mealtimes the room is filled with chatter and guests are quite welcome to join us for a meal. Wine is served with your meal or as an aperitif.

Duke's Court: a Wellingborough Care Home with Dementia Expertise

Our dementia care suite works with families and carers to support loved ones with dementia. Our methods are simple, we utilize the past to bring meaning to the present. Life stories and reminiscence play a big part in our overall approach to dementia care and when you add in our carefully chosen staff, residents with dementia are able to enjoy a high standard of living.  We never forget that people with dementia are all unique. They may forget what you said, they may forget what you did but they would never forget how you made them feel.

Tea in Our Enclosed Garden

To the rear of the home is an enclosed garden that with its paths and patios offers residents a place to sit and enjoy the sun with fellow residents. When the weather allows, we will take tea in the garden and enjoy some of Chef's freshly baked pastries. Our gardening club can enjoy the potting shed and our raised beds, while the fresh vegetables from our garden mostly end up on our tables courtesy of Chef and his team.

Come and visit our care home to see for yourself the care and companionship that our residents enjoy. We are open 24 hours a day and there is no need to book an appointment - guests are always welcome. Zoe Kirk, our manager will always be happy to answer your questions or show you around the home. Call now on 01933 445690.
