Seagrave House Care Home Corby

Overlooking the Stewart and Lloyds Bowling Club on Occupation Road in Corby, Seagrave House Care Home is a very sociable place, buzzing with chatter and companionship. We have three floors of en-suite bedrooms in a variety of sizes, and a top floor consisting of private residential suites which come with kitchenettes. An entire floor is dedicated to dementia care, where we have initiated progressive and innovative therapies that encompass residents’ life stories and involve friends and relatives as much as possible. We offer a shared care experience with our companion suites, designed for couples, siblings, or friends seeking a caring and supportive environment together.

Seagrave House has a large, enclosed rear garden as well as a fine view overlooking the bowling club. Residents are welcome to watch or join in themselves. Inside, the spacious lounges are beautifully furnished and make for the perfect setting to make new friends by joining in with the activities which often take place in there. As our sister home Glenmoor House is only a few steps away, we often club together to go out on joint excursions together, encouraging residents to mix and socialise.

For those residents who prefer the quiet life, there are plenty of serene spots at Seagrave House too, where you can have a cosy chat with family members or concentrate on a book, newspaper or jigsaw puzzle. We like to feel that Seagrave is a home from home, not just another care home in Corby.

Celebrating Our Residents Lives at Seagrave House

Our Activity Co-ordinators devise many activities in a varied programme for the residents, who we believe are never too old to learn something new. Here at Seagrave House, we have many other activities for residents to choose too, such as: art classes, chair exercises to keep the body trim and numerous outings to stimulate the mind. Check out our Facebook page to see.

As our home overlooks the Bowls Club, we are ideally located for anyone who wants to touch up their game or learn how to bowl. We have built up strong ties with local sports clubs and other members of the local community, and often enjoy the company of local schools, experts who give us talks and performers who come to entertain us – rock and roll anyone? Or the bagpipes perhaps?

If you’re interested in seeing what we get up to, visit our regularly updated Facebook page, where we post most of the activities and goings on in the home. If you’d rather pick up the phone, please feel free to call our friendly team if you have any other queries or would like to arrange a tour with our front of house team.

Meet the Chefs at Seagrave House

We might not have Dave and Si, the Hairy Bikers, at our disposal but our chefs give them a good run for their money. They recognise that the palate changes as people get older, become ill or lose their sight and therefore aim to make the dishes they serve to residents as nutritious and colourful as possible. Although they will prepare hot dogs and burgers for a Rock ’n’ Roll night, and our residents will make peppermint creams for a special occasion, they fully respect the virtues of good, healthy, fresh food.

Freshly baked savoury and sweet snacks are available all day, as well as fruit. Dining is a happy, social event and an important focus of daily life, which comes with an optional glass of wine and an aperitif. Guests are always welcome to join us, where we encourage swapping stories of the day. Come and see for yourself, we really are one of the friendliest and most welcoming care homes in Corby.
