A Luxury Care Home in Sunderland

Highcliffe residential care home in Sunderland was opened in April 2009 and provides a very high standard of residential and dementia care to the elderly of Tyne and Wear, drawing residents from towns such as Sunderland, Washington and Boldon. The home is located in Witherwack and has 60 generousy sized rooms, all equipped with en-suite facilities.

Our garden, much used in the summer months, has a decking area with chairs and raised flower beds, to enable our residents to enjoy the sensory experience of our lovely garden.

Our meals are freshly prepared daily and are delivered to a restauarant standard. Nutrionally balanced, our mealtimes are an occasion for all the home and many of our residents enjoy a beverage in one of our lounges before meals are served in the dining area. Our on-site hair salon is very popular, as is the residents committee who help guide life at Highcliffe care home.

At Highcliffe you are free to do as you please. There are quiet times should you wish to relax and chat with other residents, while our daily recreation programme supports low level excersize, learning and a chance to share in experiences with other residents. We also involve the community as much as we can, whether it is a local school or club and often get out to visit local attractions.
