Acacia Mews care home in Hatfield, situated on the St Albans Road East, at the sight of the old police station next to Hatfield Magistrates Court, and is opening in January 2011. The home will bring to Hatfield luxury care facilities and one of the most respected names in care home provision, Avery Healthcare.

Our care home offers residential and dementia care and has a variety of room types spread across its three floors. Single, en-suite rooms are available on the ground floor and open out onto the homes internal courtyard, while much larger suites are available and would ideally suite a couple. We also have adjoining en-suite rooms that connect via their own internal door. All rooms are equipped with walk in showers and flat screen TV's and residents are encouraged to personalise their own rooms and invite guests whenever they wish. Acacia Mews is very much your own home and you are free to come and go as you please. Our private parking is extensive.

We have a full and varied programme of activities organised by a trained and dedicated activities organiser, ensuring there is always something for everyone. We are proud of the thriving communities that are a hallmark of all our homes and our programme of shared activities at Acacia Mews is very much a part of this. We like to arrange trips out of the home as often as we can, and we place a great emphasis on being well connected within our local community and regularly invite groups, schools and speakers into our homes.

Our care home is finished to a very high standard and incorporates communal lounges, a hair salon and nail bar and quiet rooms for relaxation, as well as restaurant standard dining rooms that serve fresh, high quality fare, made from fresh ingredients in our own kitchens. Meals are a big part of the life of the home and our chefs are happy to provide special treats, such as cakes and biscuits, and we enjoy an occassional aperitif before evening meals in one of our many light and airy lounges.

Our courtyard is spacious and has a large number of tables and benches, as well as raised beds, so that all our residents can enjoy our flowers. Wireless broadband is available throughout the home and is consistent with our philosophy of enabling our residents to lead fulfilling lives.
